Passing of Former Manchester Fire Chief Andre Parent
MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Fire Department announces with deep sorrow the passing of former Fire Chief Andre Parent, who passed away this morning after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chief Parent dedicated an impressive 36 years to the fire service, including over 34 years of devoted service to the Manchester community. He retired as Chief of Department on September 1, 2022, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, commitment, and unwavering service to the residents he protected.
Arrangements to honor Chief Parent’s decades of service will be announced later this week in coordination with his family. The Manchester community and fire service colleagues mourn the loss of a truly dedicated public servant.
