The Glendale High School community and Cambria County are mourning the tragic loss of 17-year-old Carter R. Gallaher, a senior who died in a motor vehicle accident early Saturday morning along Beaver Valley Road in Clearfield Township. Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 5 a.m. when the 2018 Nissan Rogue carrying Carter and three passengers failed to negotiate a left turn and struck a tree. Two passengers, ages 18 and 19, were injured and transported to local hospitals. Authorities report that 19-year-old driver Landon Gallaher allegedly admitted to being under the influence of alcohol. The investigation remains ongoing.
