Kent Shooting, Stabbing Leave Three Dead Overnight
Kent, WA — April 8, 2026 — Three people were killed in separate violent incidents in Kent late Tuesday night, police said Wednesday morning.
Officers were first called to a home on the 21000 block of 120th Place Southeast at about 10:20 p.m. after nearby residents reported loud gunshots, an argument, and cars leaving the area quickly. When police arrived, they found two people who had been shot behind a residence. Despite immediate aid from officers and medics, both victims — a 25‑year‑old from Seattle and a 26‑year‑old from Federal Way — died at the scene. Authorities believe the victims knew the suspect.
Roughly 90 minutes later and about six miles away, another fatal incident occurred. Responding to a report of a man found injured on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of West Meeker Street, officers discovered a man suffering from severe stab wounds. Medics attempted life‑saving care, but the victim died before reaching a hospital.
Kent police are actively searching for suspects in both cases. Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the Kent Police Tip Line at 253‑856‑5808, email KPDTipLine@kentwa.gov, or, in urgent cases, call nonemergency dispatch at 253‑852‑2121.
